A newborn photo session at home is always extra special when a big sister is part of the story, and this one was filled with the sweetest energy from the very beginning. From the moment we started, she was all in—curious, proud, and genuinely excited to show off her new baby brother. She climbed onto her parent’s bed for cuddles, leaned in for gentle kisses, and never stopped smiling as she stayed close by his side. Photographing newborn photos like this is less about perfect posing and more about letting siblings be exactly who they are, and her joy made every moment feel warm and effortless.

What I loved most about this session was how much fun big sister was having simply being herself. There was no pressure for her to perform or sit still—she laughed, moved, snuggled, and took breaks when she needed to, creating the most honest and heartfelt images. These lifestyle newborn photos capture the very beginning of their bond, documenting not just what this season looks like, but what it feels like. Toddlers bring a beautiful, honest energy to newborn photography, and I always let them lead the way. Family Photos with a Special Announcement in Avondale Estates, GA

Some sessions just stay with you—and this one at Avondale Lake is one of them.

When this local family reached out about updating their family photos, we talked about the timing being at golden hour and making space for a relaxed, playful session that let their toddler be a toddler. But the extra special part of this session was a little surprise in store—one they’d been keeping quiet for weeks.

We met at Avondale Lake on one of those perfect evenings where it wasn’t too hot yet and there was hardly anyone out at the park. We moved through the session like we always do—lighthearted, slow, and focused on the in-between moments. Those quiet forehead kisses, little hand-holds, and belly laughs that make a gallery feel like home.

Then came the moment for the fun surprise, the Mom pulled out her ultrasound photos of little baby #2. The soon-to-be big brother was into it and proudly helped hold the roll of pictures. It was a lovely way to build the excitement and joy that comes with welcoming a new baby.

These are the special moments that are meant to be remembered, and what better way than having forever photographs!

An Extended Family Photo Session with Monica Conlin Photography to Celebrate Grandma’s Birthday

All the grandkids were there to celebrate their grandparents and it was my job to capture and document all of the love and joy they had together! This was one of my absolute favorite photo sessions I have done. The whole family was so fun and easy to work with, even with it being an unusually hot day. I brought personal fans, extra water, some towels to wipe sweat, and every had their best attitudes!
