What happens if it rains when our photo session is scheduled?
Since the weather changes so quickly here in the Atlanta area, I will not reschedule a session based on the weather until the day of our planned photo session together. I will monitor the weather closely, and if it ends up raining during the time we have scheduled, then I will work with you to find date options to reschedule. I find more often than not that the rain passes quickly and gives us picture perfect sky.
What if it is overcast/cloudy on the day of our outdoor photo session?
No problem! In fact, cloudy days can produce really soft and flattering light for photographs.
If we have a sunset session planned, then I will message you to come about 30 minutes earlier than our originally scheduled time (based on location). This will allow us to have plenty of time and light since it will get darker a little bit sooner from the clouds.
What if it is overcast/raining on the day of our indoor newborn photo session?
If it is so cloudy/overcast that there is no longer a good amount of natural light coming in from the windows, then we can reschedule the newborn photo session for a day that is sunnier. However, I find that we usually have enough light even on a partly cloudy day!
Why do I have to pay a retainer?
The retainer payment goes toward the planning, personalized preparation, styling, and holds your date on my calendar. You are officially booked and on my calendar when the retainer has been paid. Until then, the time spot is still open for others to book. The retainer is a one time fee. It does not go toward the price of your photo package.
How and when will I receive the files?
You will get an online photo gallery of high-quality edited, digital images emailed to you within 4 weeks after our photo session together. At that time you will be able to purchase your photo package and your digital images will be emailed to you so that you can download them.
Do I select the images?
Yes! You will be able to view your online photo gallery before you decide which photo package to purchase so that you make sure you are getting your favorite images from the session.
If you decide you want more than the number of images that came with your purchased package, then you are able to purchase additional digital images for $30/image.
How many images should I expect in my gallery from my session?
You can expect at least 40 photos in your online gallery.
Will you retouch images?
I will retouch minor blemishes or marks on the person that are not typically present (ex: zit or small cut/bruise). You are welcome to let me know if there is something specific that you are wanting edited such as a blemish or scrape, especially on the face. I will retouch and edit the image per my discretion. No major alterations to body shape/size.
Can I order prints?
Yes! You can choose to buy prints in addition to the digitals if you wish through your online photo gallery. Your print order is fulfilled through a high quality printing service.
